Gregg Simon has built an eclectic body of work including short films, commercials, music videos, and promos. His award-winning short film "The Final Resolution" screened at 15 international film festivals, and earned him a slot as a finalist in the Project Greenlight Directors Competition.
Gregg won a favorable review from film critic Rex Reed for "Hot Under The Collar", a short film he directed for Spike TV’s pilot episode of “60 Second Cinema.” The reality series challenges a filmmaker to write, cast, shoot, edit and score a short film within a period of 24 hours and with a budget of $1000.
Based on commercial work for Discovery Channel and DTC (DeBeers), Gregg was featured in SHOOT Magazine's "The Next Generation: New Directors Showcase" at the Clio Awards, where he was one of 15 directors selected from around the world as "up and coming" talent.
Gregg learned the music video business working for director Brett Ratner while in college, and was selected by MVWire.com for their "Music Video Directors On The Rise" spotlight. He has directed videos and promos for artists including Three Graces (Universal), Gala (EMI Music), Moth (Virgin Records), Northern State (Columbia Records), and Kidz Bop (Razor & Tie Music).
Gregg is currently in development on a remake of the critically acclaimed 1994 foreign thriller "A Pure Formality" with Hollywood Gang Productions and Gianni Nunnari who has produced such notable films as "300", "The Departed", and "Se7en."
